Physical Intervention Level 2
Primus has long recognised the need for staff performing higher risk roles, such as door supervision, to be taught safer methods of physical intervention which would help reduce use of high-risk techniques and improve staff and customer safety.
In order to obtain an SIA licence you will need to show that you are trained to the right Level. This applies to frontline staff only. To get qualifications linked to door supervision licensing, you will need to attend and take four training modules and pass three exams.

SIA Security Guarding Level 2
This unit is intended for people who want to work in the private security industry who require an SIA licence to practice. It covers the knowledge and understanding for areas that are relevant to the role of a security officer.
SIA Level 2 Award for Up Skilling Door Supervisors
In March 2012 the SIA announced the intention to require existing door supervisors who had achieved the pre-QCF Door Supervision qualification (for example for National Certificate for Door Supervision) to undertake additional training in order to renew their licence.
